As the fledgling nation God was building in Israel, our circumstances will eventually draw us back into communication with Him. We experience God's redemptive character through His grace. Just as God consistently and intentionally answered the prayers interceded my Moses for Israel, He progressively revealed Himself to the people as if separating the wheat from the chaff. Once released from over 400 years of captivity, they still treated God as a vending machine. God hears our prayers and answers them in His time. Did you ever wonder if Israel, once the reached Cannon, realized or understood it had taken forty (40) years to make by most accounts and eleven (11) day journey. With the biblical perspective we have, we see how this was a great example of the potter shaping the pot through spinning, hands on pressure and the heat of following His requirements. As they were shaped into a monotheistic people, serving Yahweh, they would be able to specifically draw upon a concise rule, under which they lived their lives which deeply connected their family and societal lineage through specific historical stories of struggle from which they could point to the grace that they experienced for whom the gave all credit to their God, Yahweh.
